A feeling of great pleasure and happiness. Delight. Jubilation. Rejoicing. Happiness. Gladness. Exhilaration. Bliss.
What brings JOY for you?
Friends. Family. Good food. Music. Dancing. Creating.
Joy is what makes life beautiful. It’s what gets us through challenges and allows light in to illuminate the shadows. Joy heals our wounds, inspires us to greatness, and fills our souls with goodness. -MeiMei Fox
When we SHARE our JOY with others it multiplies. It becomes sweeter. It creates lasting memories.
This quote by Elizabeth Gilbert nearly sums up the purpose and existence of my whole website. Her words inspired me to get the courage to try in the first place. My biggest fear was how I would find the time, but in her book “Big Magic” she helps you overcome your fears and tells you how to find time. The most inspiring was from the author Herman Melville who wrote Moby Dick. He told a friend once that he didn’t know how he would find time to ‘write that whale story’, but little by little he accomplished it. Most of the creative things in this world were created over lengths of time with patient persistence.
Magic in Creativity
And yes, there is magic in creativity. Nothing makes you feel more alive or more full of joy than when you take ‘matter’ into your hands and make something of it. It doesn’t matter if it’s art, music, writing, developing any kind of talent, or even just serving others. It’s all part of helping us forget about ourselves and doing something that really makes a difference.
Creativity in this World
Everyone of us, everywhere, is blessed, inspired and enjoys the creativity that is all around us done by people with patient persistence, and a love for creativity. Thank the world creativity is part of it. After all, our world was created by a Creative God, Jesus Christ. Look around and you will find His magnificent art work in everything. Every kind of plant and flower, and all the amazingly creative animals, and beauty everywhere if you have eyes to see. He wants us to emulate Him by adding our creative touch to this world also. It brings light, joy and life–and yes, it will save you!
